GALANA: Small Mustard & Turquoise Woven Sisal Rug

The Basket Room is privileged to partner with Bernard, the Basket room's expert rug weaver. He weaves the Basket room’s sustainable sisal rugs on a hand loom in his workshop in rural Kenya.

The Basket room’s ethically produced, handwoven floor mats are woven from sisal, a strong, fibrous grass. After splitting, rolling and hand-dying the leaves, Bernard works the fibres through his loom, creating a fine, flat, and durable weave.

This beautiful yellow and turquoise rug is available in two sizes: small and runner, and is also available in the same colours in a bold stripe design.
